As a public school educator of 21 years, I have developed an expertise in working with students of varying needs, strengths, and abilities. I pride myself on my ability to connect well with students and hold them accountable to high standards and high expectations, as well as inspiring them to be accountable to themselves.
I hold an Educational Doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University, a Masters degree in Reading, and am a National Board certified teacher. I retired from public education in May 2020.
I currently live in Bluffton, South Carolina with my husband and our dog, Molly. I have 4 grown children that I am incredibly proud of, two of whom have PhD degrees.
